It took almost ten years searching, hoping and praying, but I have finally (with the help of Holden/WasabiCars fans) managed to track down an EK Holden that made Kyushu, Japan its home in around the year 2000. The grey-engined sedan was bought by its current owner from a seller in Tokyo, whereupon it received a restoration.
The EK Series EK was built from May 1961 to Jul 1962. This EK sedan was built in 1961. It has a 2,262cc inline 6 engine.
I've set myself an ambitious target, and that is to unearth all of Japan's rusting, nostalgic gems. It's not going to be easy. They're shy creatures and prefer to remain hidden. And, limited time and funds mean they're likely to stay that way, which would be not cool!<More>
