Rhymes with Lime: 1974 Mazda Bongo 1000 Van

June 12, 2021

This first generation Mazda Bongo van really takes me back to when I was in grade 3 and 4 and a neighbour would on occasion take me and my sister home from school is plain white (I don't think it was two-tone) Bongo van. They were the only times I got to ride in them, didn't in Australia nor in Japan (where they are of course rare!) This green one hails from Kagawa Prefecture, and the owner enjoys taking it camping.

This Bongo van was built in 1974. It has a 987cc inline 4 engine.
